Dosimex

For 20 years, the reference for operational radiation-protection calculation in Excel: 6 calculation tools, 6 learning modules and 5 measurement utilities, validated against MCNP and RayXpert, reference Monte-Carlo codes, and used by EDF, Orano, Apave and more than 1,500 professionals. New capabilities now ship in Dosismart; the Dosimex calculation tools remain the reference for everything the web does not cover yet, from beta, neutron and gammagraphy to internal exposure and the measurement utilities.

Most tools are available in French and English.

On top of the 17 calculation tools and their documentation: 11 course documents (nuclear physics, nuclear measurement, radiation–matter interactions, uncertainties…) and the 19 appendices of the book "Calculation of doses generated by ionizing radiation" (EDP Sciences 2016).

Prerequisites

VBA/Excel, Windows XP to 11, Excel 2003 to 2024. Virtual machine required on Mac or Linux.

Who is Dosimex for?

  • RPEs in industrial or nuclear settings: beta, neutron or internal-exposure calculations, beyond what the web covers today.
  • Measurement professionals: gamma-spectrometry efficiencies (TAGE), contamination meters (Co3), decision thresholds and uncertainties.
